Prior to the conflict, Ukraine boasted approximately 5,000 IT companies, employing over 300,000 highly skilled technology professionals. Astonishingly, a mere 2% of these companies ceased operations in the aftermath of the war, a testament to the resilience and vibrancy of the existing ecosystem.
The Ukrainian government has not only expressed unwavering support for the tech sector but has also taken tangible actions to reinforce this commitment. A series of government initiatives have fostered a mutually beneficial relationship between politicians and the tech ecosystem. Particularly noteworthy is the government's Diia City initiative, which has created a fully digital city infrastructure dedicated to accommodating IT companies, underscoring their dedication to nurturing and empowering the industry.
